Day 1: Arrival at Shanghai and Shanghai Tour
Shanghai Yangtze River Cruise tour is about visiting and exploring the ancient cities of Beijing, Xian, a cruise ride down the Yangtze river, etc. As you arrive in Shanghai, the big and financial city of China, our guide will greet you at Shanghai Pudong International Airport and take you to the hotel. Upon your arrival time, you will be taken on the first-day tour. Your tour will begin with a fascinating Shanghai museum, the magnificent 4-story building monuments, ceramics, sculptures, incredible collection of paintings, costumes, calligraphy and many other exhibits in different dynasties. It is an amazing destination for fans of Chinese art and history.
Your next visit is to Yu Garden, built in the 16th century and used to be a private resident and a senior government administrator in the Ming Dynasty. In the evening, you will be taken to the most iconic building in Shanghai, the Oriental Pearl Tv Tower. You can enjoy the panorama of the skyline of Shanghai in the evening. You will be surprised by the Huangpu river and the light from the building of Pudong. You will stay overnight in the Shanghai hotel.
Day 2: Fly to Yichang and Yangtze river cruise: Three Gorges Dam
Today, you will go to Shanghai airport for your flight to Yichang. Upon arrival, our team will pick you up and then take you to Yichang Port to board the ship. Your once-in-a-lifetime and never forgetting experience in the Yangtze River Cruise begins today.
In the morning, your ship will pass through the Xiling Gorge, one of the longest among the Three Gorges, with a length of about 76 km. The winding river and strange stones make Xiling Gorge a famous attraction along with the Yangtze River Cruise. You will follow your guide on to the well-known Three Gorges Dam at noon. The three Gorges Dam was developed for the advantages of flood control and the world's largest hydropower project. After the cruise sails through the five stages, the Three Gorges Dam ship locks the world's most extensive ship lock system, as tall as a building of over 40 floors. In the evening, you can also participate in the Captain's welcome party, which the cruise company prepares. You will stay overnight on the Yangtze cruise boat.
Day 3: Visit Yangtze River Cruise: Lesser Three Gorges
Keeping sailing westwards, the cruise ship will take you to your today's destination, the Lesser Three Gorges. Consisting of Longmen Gorge and Bawu Gorge, the lesser Three Gorges features rapids with clear green water, sheer cliffs and steep hillsides. Also, the neighbouring forest is inhabited by monkeys and wild animals. After reaching Wushan, the local guide will help you to explore this gorgeous place. Then, stay overnight on board your Yangtze cruise boat.
Day 4: Exploration of Fengdu Ghost City, Shibaozhai Shore Excursion
The best part of today's tour will be the shore excursion to the Fengdu Ghost city, known as the homeland of Divine Comedy in China. Visiting this city, you will learn about the mysterious stories about the underworld and numerous kinds of devils and Chinese demons.
After the whole day of exploring Fengdu ghost city and the Sibaozhai shore excursion, you will stay on board overnight on your Yangtze cruise boat.
Day 5: Fly to Lhasa and Lhasa Tour
In the early morning, your ship will be present at Chongqing port, where you will go through all the check-out processes and disembark. Then, our team will help you take the flight to Lhasa from there. After arriving at Lhasa, our team will meet you at the airport and take you directly to hotels for check-in. Then, after the check-in process, you will head towards your first destination, Potala Palace, which is the well-known winter palace of the Dalai lama.
Then, after lunch, you will be guided to the Jokhang temple, founded by the great Tibetan king, to promote the Buddhist religion. Inside, you will see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni, the only venerated object in Tibetan Buddhism. Around this historical temple is Barkhor street. For overnight, you will return to the hotel.
Day 6: Lhasa Tour: Drepung and Sera Monastery
Today, you will visit the Drepung monastery, which is one of three great Gelug monasteries of Tibet. Then, in the afternoon, you will head to the Sera monastery, founded in 1419, one of the Tsongkhapa's main disciples. Then, you stay in your same hotel overnight.
Day 7: Lhasa to Namtso Lake and transfer back to Damxung
In the morning, you will be taken to Lake Namtso by driving a private vehicle. On the way, you can also see the snow-capped NyenchThanglha Mountain ranges and the number of nomads and sheep in the grassland. Besides, you can also see the mountain background standing at the Lagenla pass, and you view the vista of holy Namtso lake. Then, you will enjoy your time doing a free walk around Tashi Dor island and along the lakeshore. Then, head back to Damxung. You will stay overnight here.
Day 8: Transfer to Lhasa
After having the first meal in your hotel, you will go to Chimelong Nunnery. Here you will learn about Buddhist studies in Tibet and can even spot sky burial places from a distance. Then, you will head towards the Tsurphu monastery, Karma Kagyupa school of Tibetan Buddhism. Then, finally, you will be taken back to Lhasa by driving a private vehicle and will stay overnight there.
Day 9: Lhasa to Shigatse
In the morning, you will arrive in Shigatse, driving from Lhasa. On the route, over the Gampala pass, you will have an amazing glimpse of Yamdrok-Tso. In the distance, you can have a splendid view of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar.
Then, you will arrive in Gyantse, where you will visit Pelkor Monastery, Gyantse kumkum. After a long drive, you will finally reach your destination Shigatse. The city has so much to provide you regarding tours and sightseeing. Your stay overnight in Shigatse.
Day 10: Shigatse to EBC
In the morning, our team of World Tour Management will bring you to explore the house of Panchen Lama Tashilhunpo monastery. After getting your alien's travel, you will go to Lhatse and have lunch. The car will take you to the Gyatsola Pass and Tsola Pass at noon. Later, you will head to Mt. Everest national nature reserve and enjoy the panorama of the Himalayas. Then, again drive to New Zigzag road to Everest Base Camp. Then you will stay overnight at the Rongbuk monastery guest house.
Day 11: Transfer to Gyirong Border
In the morning, you and your group can appreciate the sunrise of Everest Peak and then explore the Rongbuk monastery. Later, you will make your visit to Everest Base Camp. After that, you will be leading Mt Shishapangma and Peikutso Lake. In the late afternoon, you will arrive in Gyirong and stay overnight here.
Day 12: Transfer to Kathmandu
Today, our World Tour Management guides team will help you exit China and take you to the Gyirong border. After you enter the Nepal border, our team will be waiting for you to welcome and take you to the Kathmandu hotel. On the way to Kathmandu, you can see the cliff-side Nepali villages, terraced farmland, etc. You will be in Kathmandu's hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 13: Kathmandu: Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Patan City Tour
In the morning, your journey starts with visiting Kathmandu's Durbar Square, followed by Swayambhunaath. It is also mentioned or listed in World heritage site and is one of the sacred Buddhist sites in Nepal. In the afternoon, you will visit Patan's central, Durbar Square, an architectural; point with impressive temples and then finally head to Kathmandu for an overnight stay.
Day 14; Explore: Pashupatinath, Bodhnath and Bhaktapur City
In the morning, we will begin your day tour with a Pashupatinath visit, Nepal's most essential Hindu temple. Then you will also explore the Boudhanath, the largest stupas in South Asia located on the ancient trade route to Tibet and Tibetan merchants and offered prayers here for various centuries. The next visit for a day will be Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a conglomeration of pagoda and shikara style temples grouped around a fifty five-window palace of brick and wood. It is the most place to visit to learn about Nepal's ancient arts. Then, you will return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 15: End of Shanghai Yangtze River Cruise tour
