Day 1: Join the trip at Malta International Airport
Malta and Gozo Discovery is all about exploring contrasting Mediterranean island lifestyles, enjoying the local food and wine tasting, etc. Your tour starts from Malta international airport in the afternoon.
You will meet your guide and head towards Cirkewwa to catch the ferry across the island of Gozo. Then you will arrive at your hotel in the evening. The rest of the evening is free so you can either rest or join in the evening dinner with your group leader.
Day 2: Walking tour of Victoria and the Ggantija temples
Your day exploration starts in Xlendia and the walk along the promenade before heading towards the island's capital Victoria. You will climb the Citadel. Then head towards Xaghra, and you will reach Ggantija. Your other visits are to Calypsos cave and Ramla Bay.
Day 3: Visit Dwejra
Today your day is all about Dwejra's sightseeing and city tour. Here you also have a boat ride along the coast from the Inland Sea to a shallow inland lagoon-linked sea. After reaching Zebbug, you will walk to nearby Xwejni Bay.
Then after lunch, we head back to Mgarr, through Nadur, for a photo Stop of Blue Lagoon to catch the ferry to Malta, where you transfer to your hotel for overnight stay northwest of the capital.
Day 4: Tour of Valletta Old City and visit Saint John's Co-Cathedral
This morning you drive from the hotel for a walking tour around the heavily fortified Old City. Today you will visit and explore Saint John's Co-Cathedral, and the Archaeological museum and admire the classic views across the Grand Harbour from the Upper Barrakka Gardens.
Day 5: Walking tour of the Three Cities
Today you will explore the historic three cities of Senglea, Cospicua, and Vittoriosa. You will see the Inquisitor's Palace in Vittiriosa and admire the Gardjola Gardens. Then drove onto Marsaxlokk and stopped to enjoy our lunch. After lunch, we will transfer to the harbour cruise by boat, travelling across and appreciating the sheer magnitude of the ramparts and forts that protect this beautiful city.
Day 6: Explore Hagar Qim Temples
After a short drive, you come to Hagar Qim and Mnajdra. Today you will explore the incredible Megalithic temple complex and UNESCO World Heritage sites. After the tour, we return to our bus, where we drive to the Blue Grotto to take a boat trip to see a series of natural caverns with brilliant corals and sea sponges.
Then in the afternoon, you will sample a range of local food specialities. Then enjoy the wine and local food.
Day 7: Visit Mdina, San Anton Botanical Gardens and the Mosta Dome
This morning we will go for a short transfer to Malta's Medieval old capital, Mdina, for a tour around this beautifully preserved city on foot. You will explore Domus Romana and Saint Paul's eerie catacombs. After the complete visit to Mdina, we will drive to Mosta Dome and San Anton Botanical Gardens.
Day 8: The trip ends in St Julian's
