Day 1: Transfer from Paris to Bayeux
Journey to Normandy & Brittany is about exploring the history, i.e., World War II, Mount-Saint-Michel, enjoying local food and wine, etc. Our team of World Tour Management will welcome you to the city of lights at the airport, then meet Chauffeur, who will take you to Bayeux from Paris. After the check-in procedure in the hotel, you will meet the local guide for the city tour. This day tour highlights include the visit to the popular Tapestry Museum.
You will spend the whole day exploring the beautiful city's narrow streets lined with ancient wooden-framed Norman houses and the gothic cathedral. At noon, you will explore the Museum of Art and learn about the history of Baron Gerard and the porcelain that made Bayeux so beautiful.
Day 2: Tour of D-Day Sites
Today, your tour is full of discovering the powerful legacy of D-Day on Normandy's landscapes, as well as its effect on the world. You will visit the popular war scenes in the movie, The Longest Day by Darryl Zanuck or Saving Private Ryan from Steven Speilberg. You will also visit Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and the American cemetery. Then you will return to Bayeux for an overnight stay at an accommodation hotel.
Day 3: Visit Utah and Omaha day Beaches U.S. Sector
On this day, you will visit the inescapable Omaha and Utah landing beaches, U.S cemetery, the preserved Pointe du Hoc areas and ancient Sainte-Mere-Eglise Village. After a short drive, you will come to a stretch of coast selected for the landings on June 6th. Then, your visit will be to Omaha Beach, followed by the museum, which displays the collections of uniforms of Soldiers.
The next pause of the day will be Utah Beach which hosts a war museum with ancient art facts of the day, and Sainte-Mere-Eglise said to be the first town liberated by the Americans. Then, you will also be taken to Pointe du Hoc, where American defenders were defeated by the German batteries while preparing for the landings on Utah and Omaha beaches. Then, finally, you will return to the hotel in Bayeux for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Train to Dol-de-Bretagne & transfer to St Malo hotel
You and your partner are responsible for reaching the Bayeux station by yourselves to board the train to your destination, Dol-de-Bretagne. After arriving, meet your diver and have a safe journey to Malo. The rest of the day of this tour is free time for you guys to explore the city on your own or have a rest.
It is said that the gem of this coast, St Malo, was developed by Welsh monk St Maclou, who also erected a church. Either you can also explore the 14th century Tour Solidor, which houses the Museum of Cape Horners, sailors who were only able to pass the dangerous Cape Horn. After the exploration today, you will return to your hotel for your overnight stay in St Malo.
Day 5: Exploration of Beautiful Brittany
Today, you will meet your driver early in the morning to explore two beautiful places of Brittany, providing an idea of the soul and heritage of the original region.
You will begin with the famous symbols, i.e. Mt Saint Michel. The great site of the World Heritage area Baie du Mont-Saint-Michel is a well-known and popular part of Brittany. The bay puts on a constantly changing but never less than beautiful show due to some of the most severe tidal variations in the world. You'll eventually arrive in Cancale.
Apart from stunning views of the Baie du Mont-Saint-Michel, you can also take beautiful walks along the coast. Then you will do an overnight stay in St Malo.
Day 6: Leisure Day or Optional Tour to Brocelandie
Today, the sixth day of the tour, is a leisure day for you to rest or go on tour to explore Brocelandie. The legends of King Arthur were first told in the mythical Brocéliande forest. In the greatest woodland in Brittany, romance and adventure await those who follow in Lancelot's footsteps. These forests are places to live for a wide variety of species of birds, squirrels, hedgehogs, and other wild creatures, including deer and roebuck. You will discover the forest's labyrinthine pathways.
You'll go to the Paimpont forges later. You can explore the mysteries of Paimpont Abbey's "Porte des Secrets." Additionally, you may explore the picturesque Paimpont woodland and take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the countryside. Then, you will stay overnight in a St Malo hotel room.
Day 7: End of Journey to Normandy & Brittany trip
